
A native of Baltimore, Fr. Matthew D’Amario received an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University, Homewood Campus, and a Master of Divinity degree from St. Mary’s Seminary and University, in Baltimore. In 2019, He was awarded his doctorate, a Th.D. for his dissertation on the Pneumatological Title of the Finger of God. He was received as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in 2009, and was ordained a priest on January 2, 2011.
Father Matt has also been a bi-vocational priest, as he is a full-time math teacher in Dorchester County Public Schools. He has also taught religion, philosophy and mathematics at the secondary level and at Stevenson University. In 2013, he married Craig at the Church of the Resurrection, Copley Parish, Gunpowder Hundred and they have been faithful partners in ministry for over 23 years! In addition to all that, Fr. Matt is fluent in Spanish and French, is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and a CPR trainer, and he plays the bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy, as well!
