FELLOWSHIP FOLLOWING ALL SERVICES
Our Church Picnic took place Sunday July 30, 2023 at the beautiful home of Lynn and Mark Fuchs under the shade of their 120 year old Sycamore tree. Thank you for hosting all of us, Lynn and Mark! It was a beautiful day with great fellowship, weather and food.
Every year we have an annual Visitation of the Bishop when Bishop Santosh Marray comes and fulfills several roles.
- He checks up on the health of the parish so he can offer assistance in case the parish is in crisis.
- He performs Confirmations, Receptions and Reaffirmations with the laying on of hands and blessings.
- He signs off on our Register book which records the events in our parish over the last year.
- He joins us at our Covered Dish Brunch with his wife Lynn to share fellowship and his love for all of us.
We know him as Bishop San. He likes to come on the same Sunday when we celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving, a traditional
British celebration initiated at Christ Church by John Harwood many years ago when the church is decorated by baskets
of produce, preserves and baked goods in thanksgiving for the abundance of the blessing of the land.
Our Christ Church Denton took a bus trip to Baltimore for an O’s game, Wednesday, 8/23/2023
This was the first time our congregation has done this since 1997!
"A native of Baltimore, Fr. Matthew D’Amario received an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University, Homewood Campus, and a Master of Divinity degree from St. Mary’s Seminary and University, in Baltimore. He was received as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in 2009, and was ordained a priest on January 2, 2011.
Father Matt has also been a bi-vocational priest, as he is a full-time math teacher in Dorchester County Public Schools serving a congregation and as a school teacher, teaching religion, philosophy and mathematics. In addition to all that, Fr. Matt is fluent in Spanish and French, is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and a CPR trainer, and he plays the bagpipes, as well! Fr. Matt and his husband, Craig, live here on the Eastern Shore with their two dogs, Daisy and Gidget.” **
